Together, the two of you create space for the slow work of soul work, tending the visible and invisible parts of your life. Spiritual direction is a non-empirical, non-propositional process so she won’t be telling you what to do, or what to think. She won’t be filling your mind with more information; this is a process of formation. Your work together is a subtle turning of the soul.
